So I've been inspired. I want to eat more vegan food. Having just done an essay on meat consumption in N.Z. I feel like limiting your meat intake isnt enough now. Shit, the amount of dairy farming in N.Z. is crazy crazy, and the amount of dairy i eat is also crazy. And so I've been looking for some inspiration:

Here is blinking great
and while this isn't completely about being vegan she has some cool stuff

Here is good too

and one more

so I'm feeling the love, and hopefully I can do it. Just to prove that I can't today I had yummo milky porridge for breaky and cheese and mayo on my sammie for lunch HAH! Then I went ahead and had a free sausage. Good start!

I was a vege but I missed eating my parents well cared for foods and bonding with my dad. Jacob and I don't tend to cook meat much/at all so its not a big issue really! And I figure once i get started it wont be hard at all. I've already found a yum yum yummy mayo alternative to try out which is avo based:

Ingredients:

2 ripe avocados, halved, pitted, scooped out of skins, and cubed

Large handful of fresh basil leaves

2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil

2 teaspoons fresh lemon or lime juice

1 garlic clove, peeled and mincedSea salt and black pepper, to taste
Directions:
1. Combine basil, garlic, and a pinch of sea salt in a small food processor and blend until ingredients form a paste.
2. Add avocados and process until smooth. Blend in the oil and lemon or lime juice, and then season with sea salt and pepper.

numnumnumnummy!!

And also this lovely lady has an amazing tattoo don't cha think? (sorry it wouldnt let me put the picture on but ya'll should check it out)

I love that its on her thigh, it looks so amazing! I have been wanting to get a little sparrow on my wrist for some time now, but now I'm thinking oof other places I could get it, though I would maybe want that on my wrist because the I can look at it always (Sparrow is Jacobs last name ya know).
So I have to have a wee think, and get cracking on actually getting it done!

Peace

Oh, I love sparrow tattoos! I have one that was supposed to be between my backbone and my shoulderblade, but that was made a bit too close to the latter: it looks like it's flying when I move... A thing to consider if you get it on your back. Also, have you seen Philip Lim's http://talesofendearment.blogspot.com/2010/04/vintage-shopping-with-phillip-lim.html ?
