Photo's from 2013. Magical times.

I can't wait for the days to be this delicious again. Though it doesn't get as cold here on Jeju, it is still mighty chilly! I'm definitely ready for some high teen's to come into play. Not too long to go!

Here are the glorious good times. There was a fantastic dance "floor" slash area of grass, which was well used.

The next day was so fantastically sunny, but also rushed and emotional saying goodbye to friends who we don't know when we will see again! Hopefully it's not too long.

Below is a view of the tree which holds the treehouse where Nina and Vince spent the night, and myself with Ash, a fantastic person I miss to death.

Okay, it's time to get down to the real business at hand. I've been holding off posting these photos cause I sent some copies out to Nina and Vince.

We went home to New Zealand to be part of our best friends' wedding. It was such a beautiful, emotional time and I'm so thankful we get to participate in celebrating something so special with people we love so much. I shed so many tears and got to hug and talk to so many people that we see and miss so much.

Well, days like these are certainly gone. 

Views from the ferry to Seoul.

The sunset was so amazing. The views coming into Seoul were futuristic. I felt like I was on another planet. 

Aside from the horrible snoring Korean in our dorm (which resulted in us seeing amazing meteors, getting our own room and me having the most epic dream ever) the trip was spectacular. 

So, the first half of our trip, along with a separate trip to Jeju that we made with my parents, go undocumented because A) the film wasn't loaded properly in the film camera B) I left out digital camera in a taxi (along with all our keys, a jumper and many other things) so film is the only thing we have. This means your just getting the tail end of our trip, which is sad and makes me wonder what had been captured before! When I saw these photos I was blown away at how well they came out. It really just looks like it did at the time.

I got no photos of this beach. But it was one of the quietest spots we stopped. We almost went right past it but decided to go back just as we hit the bend. And boy was that a good decision. 

We had the place to ourselves! And, upon thinking we had ordered pizza and a corner store, we were picked up by a man and taken to his pizza place just out of town! It was superb pizza, superb swimming, and superb coffee around this place! 

Pyoseon Beach, Jeju Island.

During the summer we biked around Jeju Island. It was awesome, and the island being rather small (200km) our daily biking was never too much. Though, regardless of that, some days were almost unbearably hot, and on the odd occasion smothered in the most overwhelming of stenches.

This was one of my favourite spots, nestled into some trees at a beach where the tide went out farther than I have ever seen. We stayed under that tree an awful long time before realising we would just have to make the trek to the waters edge. (of course it was worth it)

The evening bought some live music. Specifically the most untainted Reggae musicians I had ever seen. 

They were a little to highly strung, if you know what I mean.

(the next day we saw a wild dog with her pup! She dug it a wee hole to sleep in before going for a fossick around)

Down by the Riverside

Back when it wasn't too hot to do outdoor things at midday we went walking along the river. It felt amazing. Like we were outside the city. Away from everything, bar the looming apartment complexes in the distance. I've grown to love them. Those complexes. When you see then in the distance it's like being in a science fiction novel. These tall building all squished together, often in the midst of nothing.

But anyway, the river was a welcome escape.

We go the ocean as much as we can. 

Busan is kind of like a future city. We took a ferry ride with Ma and Pa when they came to visit and we got a good view of what looked like cities from Sci-Fi movies and evil leers on small islands.

Everything is shrouded in a fine mist...until a not so fine mist rolls in and creates a surreal scene where the tops of building appear in the sky out of seemingly nowhere. 

There are immense walls of fog lurking around every corner. But this was the first time we had found them.
