Photo's from 2013. Magical times.

I can't wait for the days to be this delicious again. Though it doesn't get as cold here on Jeju, it is still mighty chilly! I'm definitely ready for some high teen's to come into play. Not too long to go!

So! We are in Korea now. Living and what not. We start our jobs on Monday, which is nice as it means we have the weekend to look around. 

However, this blog will remain in the past for awhile. I have so many photos to share from films developed right before we left. Suits me though! Gives me time to look around my new city for inspiration and see how what my representation is going to be.

I've started us of with some nice sky moments.

The full moon at Jacob's parents house and the clouds shrouding Mt Ruapehu and Ngauruhoe (aka Mt Doom, yet again.)

The house we were staying at was nestled in the hills. Hovering up there above Grenoble. 

Claire and I shared a bed. With french doors that opened out into the wilderness. We had thunderstorms the first night. I've never felt so fresh and cosy all at once. 

There were hiking tracks 15 minutes up the road, which led to picnics in flowered fields and an amazing array of mushroom specimens and cute farm houses.

And who would have guessed that the weather would be so perfect?

We went up to the Waikato to see the families this weekend. 

We encountered a pretty mighty storm on the drive up. But we were in no hurry so it was fine. 

It was so lovely, just chilling out, mostly on Jacob's parents farm, cuddling babies and preparing for the next Wickerman burning.

It's anticipated that this Wickerman will burn longer and not fall down. It's going to be wicked. Hah hah.

Lord knows I love a good fog. 

You can just see me frollicking in that top one. I'm not sure why it came out so dark.

From visiting Nina at her parents in Waipawa for the weekend.

We had walks in the brief sunshine, ate icey-sliceys with homemade passion-fruit sauce, sewed in the kitchen and convinced her dad to watch what appeared to him to be a girl movie but wasn't so bad in the end. Oh and of course, schnuggled the late Pushkin.

In the evening we started a fire by the sea and toasted Vege Dogs and made cups of tea. We attempted ghost stories but none of us knew any. 

When bed time arrived we clambered back to the hut to find the three mattresses already being used. We decided that though it was cold outside the soft ground under the Manuka trees would be nicer then the hard wooden floor.

And it boy was it ever! 

(aside from the slight slope that we were on, meaning we had to keep pushing ourselves back up the hill throughout the night.)

A few days ago the weather was pretty crazy around here, it was windy and the ocean on the south coast was rough as hell. There was even a whale that got trapped and smashed up against the rocks, it had a baby but it was only a month or so old so they had to shoot it. We went to go check out the waves and while they were big I guess they weren't as big as they had been. This kind of stuff (amongst other things) is what really makes you realise that as humans, we really have no control, Nature is the ruler of this godamn Earth.

after all my talk of spring being in the air apparently we are being hit with "the biggest storm in the world." Whatever news!! we had a pretty minor thunder and lighting moment at lunch time, so hopefully tomorrow will get a bit more into it.

Thankfully, I got some photos developed and they fit the mood pretty well. I rediscovered how to use my work scanner so hopefully that means more photos coming up!

Have been doing loads of essay writing so have got Pandoras box and Picnic at Hanging rocks to watch (maybe tonight, though I doubt Jacob will be keen!). After filtering through my fav blogs looking for something that say "fav movies" these are two that the library had that looked good. I'm pretty sure I wont be dissappointed.
